Access Points
What are Access Points?
In order for data collection to cover as wide and diverse a range as possible, survey access points are physical locations or organizations that serve as intermediaries for distributing and collecting surveys. They act as a bridge between researchers, and populations that may otherwise be excluded from research processes. We are so grateful for our partnerships, which have allowed us to overcome barriers such as limited internet access, low digital literacy, and disengagement. Learn more about our strategy here.
Who we focus on
Value of Being an Access Point
-
Digitally Marginalized
-
Those with limited access to technology, internet connectivity, and digital literacy skills may have issues to accessing online surveys, being aware of resources, and staying engaged in other community matters.
-
-
Low Literacy and Linguistic Minorities
-
Language barriers, cultural differences, and low literacy levels bar many individuals from accessing research and sharing their valuable perspectives.
-
-
the Unhoused Population
-
Whether it's the homeless, or those that live in interim or transitional housing, there are numerous barriers to participation: limited access to technology, safety concerns, mobility and transience, as well as a lack of a stable address
-
Innovation and Co-Creation: Silicon Valley Data for All's CollaborACTION Lab trains community members to initiative local research projects and learn community storytelling through data. Access points receive this training.

Distribution and Application of Results: results derived from the collected data will be applied and disseminated to anyone interested from the access point, along with comparative subgroup analyses and tailored reports.

Learn how we integrate efforts here!
Your willingness to ensure research efforts reach their full coverage means a lot to us. By serving as an access point, you are contributing to valuable knowledge-sharing, joint initiatives, and strengthening the efforts needed to drive evidence-based decision-making and awareness.
